Environmental Risk Analysis or Risk Assessment

Overview

Analyze and evaluate:

  • Potential for catastrophic or illegal environmental releases, leaks, spills, upsets, emissions, explosions, flooding, landslides, damage from earthquakes or other geotechnical instability
  • Potential contamination of groundwater and surface water (hydrogeology, hydrology)
  • State of compliance to identify significant non-compliance with pollution legislation (identify violation of environmental protection legislation)
  • Potential public relations problems due to handling of hazardous materials, disposal of hazardous waste, potential environmental releases, discharges or upsets.

Advice to management:

  • Due diligence, setting priorities for action, establishing Corporate Environmental Policy, implementing Environmental Management System
